FILE RIO 2007
THE SECOND EDITION OF FILE RIO 2007 - FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE LINGUAGEM ELETRÔNICA, IS HOSTED IN OI FUTURO CULTURAL CENTER, FROM MARCH 19TH TO APRIL 24TH OF 2007, FROM TUESDAYS TO SUNDAYS, 11AM - 8PM. THE PROGRAMME TAKES OVER ALL THE EXHIBITION HALLS OF OI FUTURO AND ITS AUDITORIUM, WHICH PRESENTS FILE SYMPOSIUM.
FILE, the biggest Art&Technology festival in Brazil, for eight years has been involving the country in the world's new media context, gathering electronic and digital artistic production as to reveal the multiplicity within these exciting artworks. FILE Rio 2007 works, are the result of an intense research and selection that launched a great variety of national and international production in the past years.
FILE Rio 2007 is also an event for a new surprise. For the first time in the city, Hipersonica, a free festival of electronic music is being released on the 23rd of March at the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro, presenting major names of the newest inovations of the genre.
FILE MEDIA ART

Every edition, FILE contributes to expand and to gather cyberculture networks, emphasizing net-art as the major cultural fact of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, becoming one of the world's largest archive of the genre.
SYMPOSIUM

Register here to watch FILE RIO SYMPOSIUM lectures. Artists and intellectuals present overviews illustrating what is recently written and produced on electronic means of art. FILE Symposium's dense, concise content shows how possibilities of reasoning and creativity are changing in Internet and personal technologies's era.
PERFORMANCES
HIPERSONICA RIO 2007 presents five different performances of national and international artists .
NOMAD
FILE Nomad is the moving-place for artworks like this. We present three artworks in 2007's Electronic Language International Festival at Oi Futuro Cultural Center.
INSTALLATIONS
The presential, the virtual and the public share the space within FILE RIO's installations. There they network in unexpected interrelations into unpredicted reconfigurations.
HIPERSONICA
Petrobrás presents HIPERSONICA RIO 2007. The sonic event of FILE presents experimental electronic music in Rio de Janeiro, performed by artists that think way beyond melodies, such as: Scanner, Daedelus, Kode9, Flu, Ray_XXXX.
