Hypersonica is an event focused on musical, sonic, visual and performatic manifestations in electronic art. Artists invited to musical performances of FILE 8 BIT GAME PEOPLE use old videogame consoles such as Nintendo and Game Boys to produce a sound that remits to homely synthesizers and to videogame songs from the low-bit generation, explored in a contemporary way, that is, in real time.
The electronic styles breakbeat, pop and rock are modified by the 8 BIT culture concept. These artists go beyond the technological limits of their equipment, using it in their presentations not only as a basis for samplers, but mainly as tools for the production of live music.
Graphic artists who accompany these musicians also work with languages from vintage operational systems, such as Amiga computers, and use old software to produce new abstract images, manipulated live, that are the visual basis of the 8 Bit culture. They are not called VJs, but "visuals".
